Mexican Gang Violence on the Rise in Austin

 The Austin American-Statesman has an alarming article today on the recent increase violence by area gangs — the frightening aspect is that these street thugs and worthless POS gangbangers aren’t just killing each other anymore…now they’re targeting random innocent people.

Like 75-year-old Jennie McClusky, who was murdered by 17-year old waste-of-life Jonathan Anthony Kelly-Contreras and a fellow gangbanger who is in the 8th grade:
According to an arrest affidavit, McClusky was leaving a Taco Bell on West William Cannon Drive at 4:30 p.m. when a teen grabbed her purse, which was draped over her left shoulder. She resisted, and the teen then elbowed her in the face, the affidavit said.
“The suspect then knocked the victim down face-first into the pavement,” the affidavit said.
One of the teens then grabbed her purse and threw it to the other, investigators said.
According to an affidavit, witnesses told police that they had overheard the two talking before the robbery.
Kelly-Contreras told the other teen, “If you want to be in the Piru Bloods, you got to do it. … I’m your (original gangster) you gotta do it,” the affidavit said. Mrs. McClusky died from her injuries.
To make matters even worse, one of Austin’s Liberal do-gooder judges released the murderer from the Travis County Jail on a personal recognizance bond. Which means he’s back in Mexico already, and will never pay for his crimes.
In fact, if Kelly-Contreras does skip the country back to Mexico (or Canada…maybe he’s Canadian…I’m not sure…it’s hard to tell with a name like “Kelly”), the judge who let him go without even a nickle of bail being posted, should have to serve a life term instead of the kid.
Coddling Illegal Aliens and Criminals
Sadly, it seems to be the official policy of the Austin City Council and the Austin Police Department to protect these illegal alien criminals from deportation and prosecution.
In case you haven’t been paying attention to the police blotter or watching the evening news —- the gang violence in Austin (and Houston, and Dallas, and San Antonio) isn’t being committed by a bunch of suburban white kids. These gangs are comprised almost entirely of Hispanics, with the random black or Asian gang thrown in for good measure.
This is why I conceal carry nearly everywhere I go where it’s legal to carry. And this is why I almsot never go to certain parts of Houston, and avoid East Austin (or the area around I-35 / Rundberg) unless absolutely necessary. This is the reason we moved out of Austin into far West Travis County.
