BROOKS COUNTY (Kiii News) -
Nearly 70 illegal immigrants bailed out of a U-Haul trailer after being spotted on Highway 285, in what is being called the largest illegal immigrant bust to ever happen in Brooks County.
It happened just west of Falfurrias, where a Brooks County Sheriff's Department deputy spotted the truck in a location that is known for smuggling activity. He actually saw people climbing about the U-Haul.
More than 50 illegal immigrants were captured, and some 20 others are still on the loose.
