Responding to reports that the Obama administration is planning to decree an Executive Order Amnesty for illegal aliens next week, the national organization Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) issued this statement on Friday.

"Obama ordering Dream Act Amnesty for illegal immigrants by executive decree would bypass the Congress, existing federal laws, the outcome of the elections, the opposition of most American citizens, and the US Constitution, and place almost 1 million illegal aliens outside the law and in direct competition with an historic number of unemployed American citizens," advised William Gheen of ALIPAC. "While this dictatorial action may gain him more legal and illegal Hispanic votes, it will likely cost Obama the election, sending more Americans to Mitt Romney's promises of immigration enforcement instead of Amnesty for illegal immigrants."

ALIPAC is available for interviews and more information on the group's successful lobbying efforts to stop Dream Act Amnesty since 2004 at www.alipac.us
