Americans for Legal Immigration PAC Calls on NC & National Media to Inform The Voters of Illegal Alien Gang Rapists found with valid NC Licenses provided by the Easley Administration. For Immediate Release Monday, November 1, 2004 Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) has called on the NC and National Media to inform their viewers and listeners of the recent developments in Huntersville North Carolina where seven illegal aliens have been arrested for the gang rape of a woman. Each illegal alien had a valid NC license that they obtained under incumbent Governor Easley's administration. Easley claimed in debate that this problem was 'Fixed'. "North Carolinians are going to find out this happened eventually, we just want the media to inform them BEFORE the election tomorrow." says William Gheen. "There is a lot of last minute mudslinging going on in the campaigns, but these events are true and they just happened. The media has a responsibility to report these facts accurately BEFORE the election." The vast majority of NC's residence do not know that a gang rape has occurred near Charlotte, that the suspects are all illegal aliens, that they had valid NC licenses, and that Governor Mike Easley lied in the debates when he claimed they could not get licenses. ALIPAC has arranged all of the background information and news articles on these developments at www.ALIPAC.us A Google news search on the terms "Huntersville, rape" shows that this story has only run in the Charlotte area of the state. ALIPAC has been running those stories. The October 27 article about the valid NC Licenses in Creative Loafing Magazine was places on www.alipac.us Friday afternoon. This article has been read over 5,000 times and includes background information and articles and a video clip of Patrick Ballantine confronting Mike Easley on the license issue at the last debate.

"North Carolinians are being kept in the dark about this heinous crime." Gheen says. "We can't find anyone that can remember there ever being a gang rape reported in this state. If the voters are accurately told of these events they will drop Mike Easley faster than Californians dropped Gray Davis over the license issue. The press has a responsibility to our citizens to report this now and to report this accurately." Recent polls by the Raleigh News and Observer and the Charlotte Observer show that 80% of NC's citizens want more done to control illegal immigration. Our citizens do not want illegal aliens to receive driver licenses. ###
