Officer Rodney Johnson
WASHINGTON – Charged with molesting a 12-year-old girl, Juan Leonardo Qunitero had been deported back to Mexico in 1999 as an illegal alien. Nevertheless, last week, he was back in the U.S., living comfortably in a city that prohibited police from asking anyone about their immigration status.
Rodney Johnson was a 12-year veteran on the Houston police force. Married with five children, he was big, kind-hearted and unafraid of working the toughest gang beats or late-night shifts.

DREAM ACT Battle over immigration law heats up in White Plains, Washington Sunday, June 07 @ 12:41:17 EDT by alipac (1149 reads) | Battle over immigration law heats up in White Plains, Washington By Robert Marchant • June 7, 2009
WHITE PLAINS - As a fight over immigration law looms in the nation's capital, about 200 marchers chanted slogans in Spanish and English, waved banners and collected names on a petition in downtown White Plains yesterday to spell out their support for proposed legislation.
Young people and college students made up most of the crowd of local supporters for the the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors, or DREAM, Act, a set of proposed laws that would establish a legal procedure for undocumented students to gain legal status and pursue their education. The bill, which was defeated in a previous 2007 version, has been reintroduced in Congress and could prove to be contentious again, as opponents are also gearing up for the fight.
Advocates who took to the streets yesterday said the legislation would allow longtime residents of the U.S. to achieve their potential through education.

Is freedom of speech dying on today's college campuses? Saturday, April 18 @ 14:00:46 EDT by alipac (1443 reads) | Is freedom of speech dying on today's college campuses? April 17, 8:38 PM ·
It used to be that college campuses in America were a place to discuss diverse points of view - a place where the freedom to share your opinions on a variety of issues was not only permitted, but actually encouraged. If ever there was a place where the Constitutional protection of an individual's right to freedom of speech was nearly absolute, it was at our institutes of higher learning.
Sadly, recent events at the University of North Carolina seem to indicate that college campuses are no longer considered a place for the free exchange of ideas, particularly ideas that might be considered politically incorrect.
Congressman Tom Tancredo, the former representative for Colorado's 6th congressional district, had been invited to the college to practice his first amendment rights by speaking out in opposition to the "DREAM Act," a piece of legislation that would make it easier for illegal aliens to obtain in-state tuition and other benefits at state colleges and universities.

Pandemonium at UNC Chapel Hill As Illegal Alien Supporters Riot Tuesday, April 14 @ 18:34:21 EDT by JimP (1430 reads) | JP Here William Gheen on the Phone Tancredo Event interrupted by violence and property damage.
While important to note that congressman Tancredo’s position for in state tuition for illegals is shared with approximately 80% of North Carolina voters, Latino Student Organizations and anarchists affiliated students shut down the meeting exercising a mob rule or hecklers veto.
No injuries we are aware of, however police did have to deploy tazers and mace in order to protect Congressman Tancredo. Students outside protesting broke out a window causing glass to cover students who were not protesting. They also set off smoke detectors and the security shut down the meeting instead of ousting the protesters
I have videos and we shall be watching for the UNC Chapel Hill Administrators response to this outrageous abridgment of free speech on one of our nation’s top campuses.

Probation plan for Illegal Immigrants prompts tricky legal questions Sunday, April 05 @ 11:40:51 EDT by alipac (1508 reads) | Probation plan for Illegal Immigrants prompts tricky legal questions Harris DA’s idea hinges on whether illegal immigrants can legally serve terms By SUSAN CARROLL April 4, 2009, 9:44PM
The legal argument behind a controversial proposal by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to eliminate probation plea deals for illegal immigrants hinges on a simple but hotly contested question.
Can people who are in the country illegally, by letter of the law, comply with the terms of their probation?
That question was raised by District Attorney Pat Lykos on the campaign trail before she took office in January and has generated a heated debate among judges, defense attorneys and legal scholars.
Lykos, a former judge, said defendants who are in the country illegally cannot fulfill probation requirements for two reasons: first, she said, because they are unlawfully in the United States; and secondly, she said, because they cannot legally work or seek out employment — a requirement of community supervision.

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Four months after turning 15, Lucero Gayton began work on the night shift at a House of Raeford Farms chicken plant.
Starting at 11 p.m., when most girls her age were asleep, the shy teenager with the brown eyes was working 10-hour shifts at the Greenville plant, wielding a sharp knife, cutting muscles from thousands of freshly killed chickens.
"I was scared that I'd cut my finger off," she said. "I did cut myself a few times."
Lucero lost her job last month in the largest immigration raid ever conducted in the Carolinas. She was one of six underage workers, ages 15 and 16, found among the 331 workers arrested at the plant.

New Poll: 69% Now Say Controlling the Border More Important than AMNESTY! Saturday, August 23 @ 08:52:23 EDT by admin (2598 reads) | 69% Now Say Controlling the Border More Important than Legalizing Aliens
Thursday, August 21, 2008
Rasmussen
Reports
A growing majority of Americans believe that gaining control of the
border is more important than legalizing illegal immigrants, and three
out of four (74%) say the government is not doing enough to make that
happen.
Sixty-nine percent (69%) of voters in a new Rasmussen
Reports national telephone survey say controlling the border is more
important than legalizing the status of undocumented workers, while
just 21% think legalization is more important.
Only 14% think the government is doing enough to secure the borders.
Thirty-four percent (34%) say the current immigration situation makes
them angry, and another 25% characterize themselves as mildly
frustrated. For 40%, immigration is just one of many issues.
These numbers are comparable to the findings in a June survey on the
same topic. At that time, 83% directed their anger at the federal
government, while only 12% blamed the illegals themselves.
But in June only 63% rated controlling the borders more important than
legalization and 28% felt the latter was of primary importance. The
numbers had changed little in the past year, but the new findings show
an uptick of concern among voters.
Slightly over half (53%) now say the nation’s immigration policy should
welcome all except criminals and those who pose a national security
risk. But 28% of voters disagree.
Voters are evenly divided on whether it is even possible for the United States to end illegal immigration.
Increasingly frustrated with the slow pace of federal action, states
and localities are attempting to deal with the problem of illegal
immigration on their own. Both major presidential candidates have
called for stronger border enforcement but have not made it a central
element of their campaigns, as they court the country’s growing
Hispanic population.

TEARS FOR FRANKIE BLUE EYES Sunday, August 10 @ 10:10:40 EDT by alipac (2162 reads) | TEARS FOR FRANKIE BLUE EYES
By CJ Graham August 10, 2008 NewsWithViews.com
It will take courage to read this article and absorb its message. It is not a pleasant, mindless distraction to the everyday problems we all face. It is painful and frightening and necessary. While it would be far more comfortable to turn away and redirect your attention to other less disturbing issues, I hope you will not turn away.
If the family of this precious little boy is so courageous as to open their wounded hearts to complete strangers, to share their tragedy, so that we might prevent a future tragedy, then the least we can do, as Americans, is to take the time to read and acknowledge their efforts.
I hope this message will sit heavily upon your heart as it sits heavily upon mine. We must understand the true cost of the policies of our local and federal government and their dereliction of duty in securing our borders, and refusing to uphold and enforce the laws set in place to protect our communities and our citizens. We have an obligation to speak out and to fight for the safety of our most vulnerable citizens. Being unaware and uninvolved is no longer an option. The life of someone you adore may depend on your activism and the activism of strangers.

One of the complaints I hear about Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is that he “works the media”.
You’re damn right he does, and it’s a good thing, too. His pro-illegal immigration opponents certainly work the media, and if Arpaio didn’t deploy some countermeasures he would be out of a job. Or if these guys have their way, crippled and unable to do his job effectively:
Critics of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio staged a raucous show Thursday in hopes of pressuring the Board of Supervisors to monitor more closely his enforcement of immigration laws and the amount of public money spent on lawsuits that involve his office,

Race Riot in LA! AP Censors the truth again! Friday, May 09 @ 20:47:44 EDT by admin (10289 reads) | ALIPAC Note: The Associated Press (AP) newswire service is the main way news travels across America into newspapers, radio stations, TV stations, etc... Again and again, we document the AP playing down these incidents, censoring material, and excluding key facts . The article on the top is the one broadcast by AP to the nation. It claims that riot was gang related. Then when you read the LA Times local version of events, it indicates that the riot was race related. The AP censored the fact that students were separated by race while up to 600 students fought! While it is likely that illegal alien and drug importing gangs were involved, the scope was much larger. Many of the students at this school are illegal aliens or the children of illegal aliens.

Hundreds brawl at LA high school
Associated Press - May 9, 2008 6:34 PM ET
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say a South Los Angeles high school was
locked down and then dismissed early after hundreds of students
scuffled during a lunchtime brawl that left many with minor injuries.
School district spokeswoman Nadia Gonzalez says about 600 students were involved in what appeared to be a gang-related fight that started around noon Friday at Locke High School.
Campus officers broke it up and four students were arrested.
Officials said several students were injured but nobody was hospitalized.
The cause of the brawl wasn't immediately known.
Gonzalez said the school was locked down after the battle. Students
were kept in their classrooms and no parents or outsiders were allowed
on campus. About 50 Los Angeles police officers, some of them in riot
gear, responded to the school.

Immigrant rights march draws only 200 participants to Santa Ana Sunday, May 04 @ 14:20:14 EDT by alipac (1781 reads) | Immigrant rights march draws only 200 participants to Santa Ana Turnout for path to legalization was much lower than previous years, but peaceful. Earlier anti-illegal immigrant activists rallied in front of Mexican consulate and draped flags in support of stronger immigration laws. By AMY TAXIN THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER
About 200 people marched through the streets of Santa Ana on Thursday in what have become annual nationwide rallies to demand the U.S. government overhaul the immigration system to let undocumented immigrants apply for legal papers and put a halt to workplace raids.
But the march drew smaller-than-expected crowds. Organizers blamed low turnout – which paled in comparison to the 15,000 people who marched in 2006 and nearly 2,000 who marched last year -- on immigrants’ fear of raids and job security because of the economic downturn and community organizations’ focus on turning out the vote in November.
Carrying American and Mexican flags and signs that read with “Don’t hate” and “No separation of families,” the group met at the Civic Center and marched through the streets to the strum of guitar and chants of the crowd asking for justice.
