Anti-Illegal Immigration Group Drops Support for Lou Dobbs Saturday, December 05 @ 01:20:17 EST by jean (740 reads) | Note: Again we have been called an 'anti-immigration group' so the title has been amended to reflect that. We are not opposed to immigration, we are opposed to illegal immigration and want our current immigration laws enforced.
A prominent anti-immigration group has pulled its support for a possible political bid by Lou Dobbs, saying the former CNN host has betrayed its ideals.

Legal Immigration PAC says adios to ex-CNN anchor Lou Dobbs Friday, December 04 @ 01:50:24 EST by jean (741 reads) | Note: We are not an 'anti-immigrant group.' We support legal immigration so we would have appreciated the reporter clarifying this by stating 'anti-illegal immigration group.' There is a big difference.
A leading anti-immigrant group bid adios to Lou Dobbs on Thursday, now that the ex-CNN anchor is casting himself as a true friend to immigrants as he mulls a run for office.
The Americans for Legal Immigration PAC announced they were yanking their support for Dobbs, who in recent days has been trying to deny his record as an often caustic foe of giving illegal immigrants a path to citizenship.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is withdrawing support for Lou
Dobbs after years, including the suspension of websites calling on
Dobbs to run for President due to the perceived change in Mr. Dobbs's
stances on immigration issues.
"While Mr. Dobbs claims his positions have not changed, however,
that is not the perception of many of our mutual supporters," said
William Gheen of ALIPAC. "His recent comments on Telemundo and his
national radio show supporting some kind of path to citizenship for
illegal immigrants is inconsistent with positions of ALIPAC and the
views of most American citizens."
A recent Pulse Opinion Research, LLC, September, 2009 poll found
78% of likely voters were opposed to legalizing the status of the
estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. with only 19%
supporting it. Eighty-eight percent of African-Americans were opposed
to legalization. These findings are consistent with numerous other
certified polls presented in ALIPAC's "Polls and Surveys" section at

Dobbs Reaches Out to Latinos, With Politics in Mind Wednesday, November 25 @ 01:30:37 EST by jean (1254 reads) | Note: Apparently we need some clarification from Lou Dobbs if we are to continue our support of him.
Former CNN anchor Lou Dobbs, pondering a future in politics, is trying to wipe away his image as an enemy of Latino immigrants by positioning himself as a champion of that fast-growing ethnic bloc.
Mr. Dobbs, who left the network last week, has said in recent days that he is considering a third-party run for a New Jersey Senate seat in 2012, or possibly for president. Polls show voters unhappy with both parties, and strategists believe Mr. Dobbs could tap populist anger over economy issues just as Ross Perot did in the 1990s. President in 2012.
These pledges of support have been made at the Lou Dobbs fan site www.LouDobbsForPresident.org
which is maintained by Americans for Legal Immigration PAC. The site
was launched in early 2008 after pro-Amnesty candidates John McCain and
Barack Obama won their primaries.
The website has been adjusted to reflect the support for a Lou
Dobbs presidential run in 2012 and activity on the site has escalated
following the recent news that Lou Dobbs is indeed considering a run
for President.

Lou Dobbs May Run For President or Senate Monday, November 23 @ 11:48:25 EST by admin (859 reads) | Friends of ALIPAC,
I just received a call from a Fox News reporter who was interested in our website www.LouDobbsForPresident.org The world may be coming to see this site soon so you might want to visit and show your support.
She has informed me that during a radio interview this morning Lou
Dobbs announced that his team is looking into a possible run for
President or US Senate. If Lou Dobbs were to run for US Senate in his
home state of New Jersey, it would be against US Senator Robert
Menendez (D-NJ). Menendez is the chief fundraiser for Senate Democrats
in the country and a former mayor of Union City.

Lou Dobbs, below, the outspoken CNN anchor who abruptly resigned from
his job last week, is scheduled to appear as a guest on Monday night’s
edition of “The O’Reilly Factor” on Fox News, Variety reported. Fox
News said he planned to discuss his on-air resignation as well as his
opposition to illegal immigration. Though the interview may heighten
suspicions that Mr. Dobbs is being courted by Fox, representatives from
the network said there had been no discussions. Jonathan Klein,
president of CNN’s domestic operations, agreed to release Mr. Dobbs
from his “Lou Dobbs Tonight” contract after he refused to tone down his
rhetorical style.

Months ago the president of CNN/U.S., Jonathan Klein, offered a choice to Lou Dobbs, the channel’s most outspoken anchor. Mr. Dobbs could vent his opinions on radio and anchor an objective newscast on television, or he could leave CNN.
For a time, Mr. Dobbs did tone down his TV rhetoric, but on Wednesday he made a more drastic decision: He chose opinion.

Security concerns for Arpaio after Lou Dobbs shooting scare Thursday, October 29 @ 22:05:49 EDT by admin (725 reads) | Reported by: Katie Fisher
ABC 15
Oct. 29, 2009 5:24 pm
PHOENIX, AZ -- Officials with the Maricopa
County Sheriff's Office say they are closely examining Sheriff Joe
Arpaio's security after a recent shooting involving CNN TV host Lou
Dobbs.
Dobbs' New Jersey home was shot at three weeks ago and some say the
outspoken host may have been the target of pro-illegal immigration
activists.
According to MCSO officials, Dobbs went public Thursday, saying the
media's portrayal of him as a 'hate monger' is fueling open borders
activists to rally against him, now to the degree of attempting to
cause his family bodily harm.
MCSO Spokesperson Ryan Lee said the department is concerned for
Arpaio's safety considering that both he and Dobbs are extremely vocal
and visible on a national level in their beliefs that illegal
immigration is a serious crime, worthy of arrest and incarceration.

Dobbs, a fervent proponent of U.S. border enforcement, told listeners of "The Lou Dobbs

anyone who opposes amnesty or leniency toward illegal immigrants.
"They've created an atmosphere and they've been unrelenting in their propaganda," Dobbs
said in reference to pro-immigration groups like the League of United
Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the National Council of La Raza and
America's Voice. "Three weeks ago this morning, a shot was fired at my

Friends of ALIPAC,
We have just learned that someone has fired a gun at the home of Lou
Dobbs, with his wife just a few feet away from the incident. The
gunfire followed a series of threatening phone calls.
Lou Dobbs is being targeted by the pro-illegal alien groups and pundits who feel that Dobbs is stopping Amnesty from passing.
The Southern Poverty Law Center, the Anti Defamation League, the
National Council of La Raza, Media Matters, and Geraldo Rivera of Fox
News are using false information to foment hatred towards Lou Dobbs or
any American who speaks out against Amnesty or illegal immigration.
They have pushed for Lou Dobbs to be fired and since CNN has
refused to do that some people are now turning to violence to try and
achieve their goals.

Lou Dobbs Right on Obama Birth Certificate
Monday, August 3, 2009 9:48 AM Newsmax
The Associated Press is wrong and Lou Dobbs is right.
This past weekend, the AP published a story entitled "CNN's Dobbs Under Fire for Hosting 'Birthers'".
The AP began their highly critical story on Dobbs:
"He's become a publicity nightmare for CNN, embarrassed his boss and
hosted a show that seemed to contradict the network's 'no bias' brand."
And what is Dobbs'
"crime?" He has said on air that Obama should release his birth
certificate and has had on his show guests who suggested Obama was born
outside the U.S.
