Graham to Obama: Time to 'step it up' regarding immigration reform Thursday, March 11 @ 00:40:26 EST by jean (390 reads) | President Barack Obama is summoning two key senators to the Oval Office on Thursday for an update on immigration reform efforts — but one of them, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), thinks Obama should be the one giving the update.
Graham, less than thrilled at the notion of providing the equivalent of a book report to the headmaster in chief, said Obama’s lack of direction on immigration reform is hampering Graham’s efforts to recruit additional Republicans to the cause.

It is outlandish that the Obama administration is giving 3.4 million dollars of our tax monies to a racist Hispanic supremacist group like NCLR! NCLR supports Amnesty for illegal aliens and advocates for open borders into the US to grow their race based racist power in America.

Obama's budget curbs border programs Friday, February 05 @ 00:22:29 EST by jean (683 reads) | WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is proposing to scale back some border security programs set up after the 9/11 attacks and ramp up aviation security following the attempted Christmas bombing, in what some conservative lawmakers say is a dangerous priority shift. Rep. Hal Rogers, R-Ky., the top Republican on the House panel overseeing the Department of Homeland Security's budget, says the border security funding in President Obama's budget for fiscal year 2011 is "woefully inadequate" and "as dangerous as it is indefensible."

Obama Pushing Immigration AMNESTY Despite Political Risks Wednesday, December 30 @ 11:16:23 EST by admin (1077 reads) | Obama Readying Immigration Overhaul Despite Political Risks
December 29, 2009
by Peter Nicholas The Baltimore Sun
WASHINGTON
- The punishing battle over healthcare is still unresolved, but the
Obama administration is quietly laying plans to take up another issue
that could generate even more controversy and political division--a
major overhaul of the nation's immigration system.
Already,
senior White House aides have privately assured Latino activists that
the president will back legislation in 2010 to provide a road to
citizenship for the estimated 12 million undocumented workers now
living in the United States.
In a conference call with proponents, White House deputy chief of staff
Jim Messina, political director Patrick Gaspard and others recently
delivered the message that the White House is committed to seeing a
substantial immigration bill pass and wants to make sure allies are
prepared for the fight.

Just Ask for Asylum and Walk Right In? Wednesday, December 30 @ 11:13:01 EST by admin (529 reads) | Obama Quietly Changes U.S. Immigration Policy
New America Now, News Analysis, Edward Alden, Posted: Dec 28, 2009
The Obama administration quietly announced last week that it would
overturn one of the harsh immigration enforcement measures enacted by
the Bush administration following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Beginning
next month, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said, those who
arrive in the United States fleeing torture or persecution abroad will
no longer automatically be welcomed with handcuffs and months in a jail
cell. Instead, many of those seeking protection will again be permitted
to live freely in the country while their applications for permanent
asylum are considered by an immigration judge.

Americans who value their security, freedoms, and future prosperity are
being encouraged to call the White House immediately to demand the
resignation or termination of Janet Napolitano for overt and gross
dereliction of duty after revelations her department issued an
unlimited US visa to Detroit terrorism suspect "crotch bomber" Umar
Farouk Abdulmutallab.
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), a pro-border and
immigration enforcement national organization, is asking citizens to
call the white house at 202-456-1111 or 202-456-1414 or e-mail the
White House via this link http://www.whitehouse.gov/CONTACT/ to demand that President Obama terminate Janet Napolitano immediately.
"President Obama has a few days to fire Napolitano before the American
public will place full blame for the grotesque failure by the
Department of Homeland Security in his lap!" said William Gheen,
President of ALIPAC. "If Obama fails to fire or demand the resignation
of Napolitano, then he will indicate he is willing to support these
kinds betrayals of government trust."

Obama unveils Comprehensive Immigration Reform strategy Friday, November 13 @ 21:19:04 EST by jean (691 reads) | Though it would seem unlikely that our President would introduce a controversial immigration reform strategy on the cusp of a healthcare decision in the Senate, he did indeed do that today.
DHS Secretary Napolitano introduced a broad outline for reform during a speech to the Center for America Progress this morning. In it she cited the many advances DHS has made in securing the US Border with Mexico. One of the centerpieces of this effort is the screening of 100% of southbound rail shipments for weapons and cash. While that sounds like a good thing for Mexico the logical question is this: What percent of northbound rail shipments are "screened" and what does "screening mean? Not to sound cynical but this Administration does not have a good record when it comes to spin and telling the absolute truth. The President demonstrated that clearly last week with Healthcare Reform.
