3 illegals arrested, 23 grenade casings seized in Phoenix

PHOENIX -- A two-day investigation in Phoenix lead to the arrest of three people and seizure of 23 military grade grenade casings on Tuesday.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, investigators from the Metro Intelligence Support Technical Investigation Center (MISTIC) Task Force received information that there were individuals in the Phoenix metropolitan area that were in possession of military grade grenades and wanted to sell them.

PHOENIX – A week after abruptly quitting his longtime job as a CNN television news host and commentator, Lou Dobbs said on Thursday he is considering career options including possible runs for the White House or U.S. Senate.

"Right now I feel exhilaration at the wide range of choices before me as to what I do next," Dobbs, whose outspoken views on immigration and other topics often angered liberals, told Reuters in a telephone interview from New York on Thursday.

Immigration Officials to Audit 1,000 More Companies

WASHINGTON — Immigration enforcement officials said Thursday that they were expanding a program for auditing companies that might have hired illegal immigrants and had notified 1,000 companies this week that they would have to undergo such a review.

John Morton, who heads Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE, announced the new initiative, saying it was part of the administration’s plan to deal with companies that hire illegal workers. “ICE is focused on finding and penalizing employers who believe they can unfairly get ahead by cultivating illegal workplaces,” Mr. Morton said.
