Victory in NC: Licenses and Jobs for Illegal Aliens Bill Defeated

Friends of ALIPAC,

Many thanks to all of you who helped us defeat HB 786, which would have opened up jobs for and given licenses to illegal aliens here in NC! We are a national organization based in North Carolina and we appreciate our national network aiding us and many other states we have focused our efforts upon when needed.

Now, we need to remember the NC GOP sellouts like Speaker Thom Tillis and Reps Harry Warren in their next state races! We are talking with some local NC groups about forming a state level PAC to accomplish this. If we do that, perhaps we can create a model that we can also employ in CA, TX, FL, New York, etc!

After all, that is how ALIPAC began in 2004-2005 when we defeated in-state tuition for illegals legislation (HB 183) here and then reproduced our tactics successfully in more than 20 states in the following years.

We had a very close call here, and let us hope that our victory over the illegal aliens and their supporters here will be the beginning of stalling their entire national agenda that has been proceeding in the last six months.

You can win in each state. It only takes a handful of dedicated activists on the ground in each state staying on these lawmakers and calling on broader national support like the ALIPAC network at the right time. ALIPAC was able to engage in many more of these state fights before we were forced into severe budget cuts. Prior to our budget retraction, the illegal aliens won almost no state battles and we won against them in at least 30 states.

All that is required here is for enough Americans like us to stand up and unify our communications, volunteer activism, and funds, and we can defeat illegal immigration and those supporting this invasion.
