HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A routine inspection has led to two arrests when drug agents discovered 15 kilos of cocaine in a tractor-trailer in north Alabama.

Police spokesman Wendell Johnson told The Huntsville Times the agents found the cocaine worth about $2 million during a routine safety inspection Monday.

The 18-wheeler was heading north on Interstate 65 near Priceville. Police became suspicious during the inspection and called for a drug-sniffing dog.

Jose Martinez Vazquez and Aldo Raymundo Garza of Brownsville, Texas, were charged with trafficking in cocaine. Johnson says investigators believe the two men were headed for Chicago.
