Fifteen undocumented migrants were taken into custody by U.S. Border Patrol after they made landfall near Singer Island early this morning, officials say.

Border Patrol seized a 23-foot vessel and two people aboard the boat headed east after they were believed to be dropping off the migrants, border patrol spokesman Xavier Morales said.

“We suspect those two intercepted at sea dropped those people off,” he said.

The migrants, all believed to be from Haiti, were dropped ashore at 6:25 a.m. near John D. MacArthur State Park.

Border patrol took 10 men, three women, one teenage boy and one child into custody, Morales said.
