    Athens — A 15-year-old boy has been indicted in connection with the hit-and-run death of a female pedestrian.

    Authorities said Nayasheika Cooper was struck and killed as she walked along a road in Athens.



    A Clarke County grand jury returned the indictment Wednesday charging Abel-Gonzalez-Perez with multiple counts of homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence, hit and run, underage possession of alcohol and driving without a license.

    Prosecutors said Gonzalez-Perez, an illegal immigrant, will be tried as an adult.[/list]
