Update: Border Patrol agents apprehended 29 immigrants, not 31 immigrants, according to an agency spokesman.

Border Patrol agents apprehended 29 immigrants Saturday afternoon, when a man called 911 and told the Edinburg Police Department “he and others were being detained against their will.”

At about 3 p.m., police responded to the 300 block of East Wells Street — near the intersection of North Closner Boulevard and Chapin Street — to check on the 911 caller, said police Lt. Oscar Trevino.

The 911 caller reported “he and others were being detained against their will at an address on Wells Street,” Trevino said.

Officers discovered the caller and 28 other immigrants who weren’t lawfully present in the United States.

“Everyone was turned over to Border Patrol,” Trevino said.

Border Patrol agents assigned to the McAllen Station handled the call, said Supervisory Agent Oscar Saldaña, a spokesman for the Rio Grande Valley Sector.

One house, 29 aliens, how many houses are out there like this? Secretary of Homeland Security says our border is safer than it has ever been. Some where there is some lying going on, but I have faith in Valley Central News, the liar must be in HS department. Now how secure does that make us feel?

your 100 % right we have many town's & city & state that do the same thing our border are not safe we have family that live in AZ it not safe at all
