PHARR – Almost one hundred individuals were removed from two separate stash houses in Hidalgo County today.

First, 67 illegal immigrants were found inside a home across the street from a day care near Lucas Avenue and Kumquat Street in Pharr.

Both U.S. border patrol and Pharr police officers guarded the scene as the immigrants were loaded on to vans.

They are believed to be from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Peru.

No word on how long the group remained at the location. During the incident, one of male subjects fled and during the arrest, he resisted and bit one of the border patrol agents.

He will be arraigned later on the charges of assault on a public servant, resisting arrest, evading arrest, and fail to ID. The case remains under investigation.
