More than 808,000 Children of Immigrants Turn 18, Eligible to Vote Each Year

Nearly a million U.S.-born citizen children of immigrants are turning 18 each year and will be eligible to vote, according to an analysis of U.S. Census data issued this month by the Center for Immigration Studies.

In a short assessment of the overall totals of immigrants and their citizen children in the U.S., CIS’s Steven Camarota reports that in 2014 there were 42,235,749 immigrants in the U.S., and 16,773,337 U.S.-born children under the age of 18 had either an immigrant mother or father. This means, combined, there are are 59,009,086 immigrants and their U.S.-born children in the U.S.

The analysis further highlights that each year 808,128 U.S-born children of immigrants turn 18 and, as citizens of the U.S., are eligible to vote.

Immigration activist groups have pointed to the newly voting-eligible U.S. citizen children as a ripe bloc to register and encourage to vote.

Included in that total is 503,718 children of immigrants from Latin America, 66,081 children of immigrants from English-speaking countries, and 42,163 children of immigrants from predominantly Muslim countries. Additionally about 124,295 of the U.S. citizen children were born to immigrants in poverty.

Earlier this month, for example, the Latino Victory Foundation and the National Partnership for New Americans launched an effort called the New American Democracy Campaign aimed at registering the citizen children of immigrants and encouraging eligible immigrants to naturalize and register to vote.

Anchor babies whose parents get deported can go to the parents home country.
When they turn 18 they can return to the U.S.

Then when they turn 21 can petition to bring their parents and siblings to the U.S. as green card holders.
(Sometimes there is a 5 year or 10 year time limit from the date they were deported before the deported parents can return.)

That should not apply to anchor babies, nor to the illegal alien parents who were here in violation of the law when they dropped them. There is no rationale, no logic, no correctness of any kind to apply these laws to illegal citizens the same as to legal citizens. Laws and procedures are written for people who abide the laws, not for those who usurped and violated them. If an anchor baby wants to be with their family, their blood, they should stay in the land of their birthright citizenship by blood, not soil.

Meanwhile, our Congress needs to eliminate all the absurdities of anchor babies, exclude all children born to illegal alien mothers from US citizenship, end this bad joke on US citizenship and Jeff Sessions needs to figure out a big plan to deport illegal aliens by the millions per year, not 87,000 per year while 1.5 million more illegal aliens pour in annually and breed another another 400,000 anchor babies per year.

Oh lord, this illegal alien breeding thing just makes me ill thinking about it. STOP IT!!!

124,000 Anchor Babies Born in U.S. So Far This Year

So, by the 2020 election there will be more new voters . . .

Absolutely, there will be, and the Democrat party will be doing a huge outreach to mobilize them to vote. The "rising Hispanic vote" is most certainly comprised of these children born to illegal aliens, and they likely are responsible for already helping states like California turn blue. It seems to me that birthright citizenship is akin to giving amnesty to millions over the years.
