LONG BEACH — Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies seized about 16 tons of marijuana worth $150 million to $300 million from a Long Beach nursery, authorities announced Friday.

The bust, which included narcotics investigators from various local law enforcement agencies like the Long Beach Police Department, was made Thursday afternoon at Rolling Hills Nursery in the 6900 block of Orange Ave., said Capt. Mike Parker of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

The marijuana was found in two large storage containers found on the property. Four men were arrested at the scene and booked at the Lakewood Sheriff's Station Jail, Parker noted.

No other details were released Friday.

Sheriff's officials encourage those who see or know of illegal activity in their community to report it to their local law enforcement agency. Those who wish to remain anonymous can do so by calling "LA Crime Stoppers' at 800-222-TIPS (8477), texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637) or going to lacrimestoppers.org.
