ALIPAC: Feds Appeal Texas Judge's Ruling on Immigration
Feds Appeal Texas Judge's Ruling on Immigration
Posted Tuesday, February 24th 2015 @ 5am by iHeartMedia’s Corey Olson
The Obama Administration is seeking to reinstate the President's immigration plan one week after a Texas judge placed it on hold. On Monday, the Justice Department filed a notice of appeal with U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen in Brownsville, asking Hanen to stay his ruling from last week that blocked President Obama's executive actions on immigration. The President's order, issued in November, could shield as many as five million illegal immigrants from deportation if they meet certain criteria. Texas is leading a coalition of 26 states suing to block the President's action.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton issued a statement Monday in which he vowed to continue the legal fight against the President, and argued that Hanen's ruling last week was correct. "The court's order prevents the Obama Administration from spending taxpayer dollars and taking major steps that would substantially harm Texas and would be difficult, if not impossible, to reverse," said Paxton.
The lawsuit brought by Texas and the other states will next be heard by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. In the meantime, the federal government wants Judge Hanen to allow the executive actions to take effect. William Gheen with the anti-illegal immigration group ALIPAC thinks the government is stalling to buy time. "We've picked up a lot of information that indicates the Obama Administration and its illegal alien supporters expect, in the long run, to lose this case," he tells KTRH. "So they're trying to get as many illegals as 'genies out of the bottle' before that happens."

You are exactly right, William! This DHS Department is rotten to its core, it not only fails to do its job to stop illegal immigration, enforce US immigration law and secure our ports and borders, it does the complete opposite issuing "shadow" work permits to 7.4 million illegal aliens that we know about in violation of US immigration law, executes illegal amnesties and deferred actions in violation of our law and Constitution, gives illegal alien permits to be residents entitling them to welfare and thousands of dollars per year in tax refunds for taxes they didn't pay to begin with from illegal jobs and illegal wages.
For any Republican in Congress to give a damn about funding this corrupt Department shows they can't be trusted to guard our money or run the proper oversight to ensure the money is spent according to the law, authorization, constitution and best interests of US citizens and legal permanent residents.
So all Republicans need to shut up about DHS, just hold the line the House of Representatives has established, stand your ground for the best interest of the United States, and let the funding expire until there is a complete overhaul or dismantlement of this corrupt Department. There is no need let alone any urgency to fund a Department that has allowed 20 million illegal aliens to enter and remain in this country. This is not what taxpayers funded this department to do. Taxpayers funded this Department to stop illegal immigration, remove illegal aliens from the United States, and keep them out, yet this Department has been doing the complete opposite.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan
