Allen West Rips Into Obama and Supreme Court on Immigration

U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., came out swinging against President Barack Obama on Tuesday, ripping the president over immigration. West also hammered the Supreme Court for ruling against Arizona’s immigration law last week.

“President Obama circumvented Congress and proceeded forward with executive action that will potentially grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants,” West insisted in an email to supporters sent out on Tuesday. “Then the Supreme Court ruled that states don't have the right to take [the] initiative to protect their own borders. This is after decades of failure by the federal government to do its job securing our border and stopping illegal immigration. We can't afford to tolerate President Obama and the liberals' amnesty policy any longer.

“We are getting away from a government that’s based upon consent of the American people and we are moving toward government by executive edict and judicial overreach," West continued. “Replacing President Obama and electing strong conservatives to the House and Senate has never been more important.”
