Anchor Baby Citizenship – Rewarding Criminals, Americans Played as Fools

Anchor Baby Citizenship – Rewarding Criminals, Americans Played as Fools

Posted on 8 February, 2014 by Rick Wells

This CBS video documents the arrival at the hospital of a Mexican woman and the birth of her son, an American citizen by virtue of a swim across the Rio Grande, a two hour hike, and a complicit U.S. Federal Government.

The charges for the Caesarian section delivery in the hospital were $4,700. The costs won’t be paid by the illegal immigrant mother. It will be a burden upon the taxpayers or the service providers.

This type of birth is estimated to take place 300,000 times every year, thanks to the present interpretation of the 14th amendment.

The mother says in an interview from her hospital bed, “I’m glad he was born here, that’s why I came here. So my children, my husband and I could have a better life.” 40% of the births at the McAllen Texas Medical Center are to people who have done similar things.

She continues, “things are better in the U.S. because they help children so much more.” The interviewer comments that it is a better life that American taxpayers help pay for.

An estimated $1.1 billion in taxpayer money goes to fund the healthcare costs of illegal aliens. That’s real money that, rather than covering the needs of Americans, or remaining in the wallets of the taxpayers, is being redistributed to people who don’t deserve it and are receiving it only by virtue of their lawbreaking.

To that degree, the arguments that the system is broken have merit. To a greater degree, the leadership is broken and the laws need to be enforced. Simple enforcement and the removal of the rewards for lawbreaking would remedy much of the problems.

Congressman Lamar Smith of Texas wants to challenge the interpretation of the 14thamendment as a guarantee of U.S. citizenship to any child born in America.

The magnets are part of the problem, in addition to a lack of enforcement.

Throwing more legislation at the issue in the form of “comprehensive immigration reform” is a political ploy designed to accomplish nothing aside from enabling the continued flow of illegals into America.

This is not a new problem and it’s way past time for corrective action. America needs some strong leadership willing to stand up to the Democrat push and demand an immediate course correction. Right now, we’re completely lost.

The meaning of the 14th Amendment is already clear. It doesn't pertain to people who do not owe allegiance to the government of the United States. Look at ", and subject to the jursidiction thereof,"... Illegals - and mere tourists - are of course subject to our laws. So if they rob a gas station, we can certainly put them in jail. But putting them in jail does not transform them into United States Citizens. They're simply criminal aliens. When they've paid their debt to society, we just deport them.

Unfortunately many Americans believe that birthright citizenship is enshrined in the United States constitution. Actually, if we look at the commentary by the people who wrote the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, we see that the authors never intended that diplomats or foreigners would be given citizenship. People who sneak into this country are criminal aliens, just as are non-citizens who rob gas stations.

Birthright citizenship is a mistaken policy, but if it's challenged and the justices of the Supreme Court actually read the intent stated by the people who actually wrote these amendments, they will see that people who do not owe allegiance to the United States were not the intended beneficiaries of these amendments.

God alone knows if the justices would actually trouble themselves to actually read what the authors said, but their meaning is available for people who do actually read the debates and the answers to questions.

When you read the briefs filed by foreign countries against Arizona against 1070, it becomes very clear that these countries expect their citizens, that are here sending illegally earn money back to their economy, to be treated as though they have diplomatic immunity. Diplomat's children born here specifically do not receive birthright citizenship because they are under the jurisdiction of their home country. Since these countries have opened hundreds of consulates and mobile consulates between them to advocate and care for their citizens and expect them to be treated with immunity from our laws, the death penalty for Mexicans as an example, birthright citizenship should logically be refused for Mexican citizens. Especially those that are "still wet from the river" as mentioned in the video.
