NOBLESVILLE -- Police are hailing a resident's anonymous letter for leading to the arrest of an illegal immigrant who previously admitted to cocaine possession.

Officers from the Hamilton/Boone County Drug Task Force arrested Bertulio A. Guillen, 200 block of Lions Creek Circle, Noblesville, about 7 p.m. Thursday.
Guillen was charged with false informing, a misdemeanor, because he's been using numerous aliases and incorrect birth dates throughout the community, Maj. Randy Schalburg said Friday.
"Even (Thursday) night, he was telling officers that he was born in 1984, but we have information that said he was born in 1977," Schalburg said.
Officers also determined Guillen is an illegal immigrant from Mexico.
Noblesville Police Chief Dick Russell and Mayor John Ditslear received anonymous letters March 23 from a resident, who alleged Guillen was selling cocaine and marijuana and is an illegal immigrant, Schalburg said.
The task force obtained a search warrant for Guillen's residence but found no drugs there, Schalburg said.
In December 2005, Guillen pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine in Hamilton Superior Court 2. He was sentenced to 545 days in jail, but given credit for about 130 days he had served after being booked on Aug. 7, 2005. His sentence included one year of probation.
Schalburg said Guillen's case has been turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the largest investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security.
"They will most likely have him deported," he said. In the meantime, Guillen posted $2,500 bond about 11 p.m. Saturday.
Schalburg said he welcomes information about drug problems and illegal immigrants.
