    April Newsbriefs

    Nice Guys
American authorities announced they will give as much as $250 in taxpayer money and bus tickets to criminal illegal aliens being released from prison who cannot be deported because their home countries won't take them back. Thanks to orders from the U.S. Supreme Court, the alien felons are being released into the general U.S. population. The spending cash will be supplied by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency so the felons can travel around the U.S. In January, the court ordered ICE to free some 920 illegal aliens in detention. All are under deportation orders because they committed crimes in the U.S., but their home countries won't take them back because they are considered "undesirables." So U.S. elites will give them tax money to start new lives here.

    Fat Deal
No wonder so many aliens come to the U.S. illegally. In Maryland alone, taxpayers spent as much as $1.5 million in workers' compensation benefits for illegal immigrants in the past two years, according to State Delegate Richard K. Impallaria. "Good, legal businesses are paying into this fund to have illegal business people who are illegally entering the country receive payments," he said. "I believe that we should immediately stop paying all benefits to anyone who has entered the country illegally, and that includes welfare, housing, or any other type of benefit that is paid with taxpayer money." Too bad America's federal judiciary doesn't agree.

    Heavy Costs
Paying out millions in public benefits to illegal aliens isn't the only problem Maryland faces from mass immigration. The number of non-English speaking kindergartners in Montgomery County, just outside Washington, D.C., has increased 62 percent since 2001, said county officials. Since the 2000-01 school year, the county spent $67 million just to improve education for immigrant and low-income children. At New Hampshire Estates Elementary School in Silver Spring, where Hispanics are 60 percent of the student population, about half of all new arriving students do not speak English at all, said Jerry D. Weast, superintendent of the county schools.

    No Need To Look Far
President Bush's new Department of Homeland Security is so blase` about immigration that illegal aliens using fake Social Security numbers were hired as contract painters and given access to a nuclear power plant in Florida, the Washington Times reported last month. Officials at Progress Energy, which runs the Crystal River Energy Complex in Citrus County, say they followed all federal regulations. Florida GOP Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite wants to know how it was possible for illegals to get so close to a nuclear reactor, so she's calling for congressional hearings. But all she really needs to do to find out how it happened is to read all of the memos on her own party's new "Hispanic strategy" outlined for President Bush by his top political adviser Karl Rove. Then she should read all the neoconservative Republican publications from The Weekly Standard to National Review and the Wall Street Journal, which argue that political power flows to immigration-friendly political parties. Then she would know all she needs to know about how illegal aliens got near a nuclear reactor.

    Today, Mexico, Tomorrow North America
The racial consciousness and advocacy of racial self-interest denied to whites in America flouishes unabated among Hispanics. In his new book, The Latino Wave: How Hispanics Will Elect the Next American President, Jorge Ramos, a Latino anchorman and Telemundo celebrity, boasts, "The United States is becoming a Latino nation," and "We are everywhere, and there is no occupation or activity in this country that escapes our influence. This century is ours." Unless whites also begin to think in terms of "us" and "we," history will prove Ramos correct.

    Bye, Bye American Pie
The National Center for Health Statistics reported last month that births to non-Hispanic whites accounted for just 56.7 percent of America's overall births in 2003. That represents a decline of 1 percent from 2001. If present trends continue, non-whites will account for a majority of U.S. births by 2015, if not sooner.

    The New America
Fed up with crime, cultural clashes, overcrowding and multiculturalist curricula, parents in some Nebraska towns overrun by immigrants are taking their children out of heavily Hispanicized schools and sending them to nearby white ones. Under state law, students may transfer from one school to another - but that's about to change. Unhappy that Nebraskans can avoid the multicultural paradise elites have planned for them, the state's political leaders are fashioning legislation to thwart the choices citizens make for their children. Associated Press reports that pending legislation would force outlying predominately white schools to merge with the larger, urban school districts dominated by Hispanic immigrants to stop white flight. That'll teach those racist white people the real meaning of freedom in the New America.

    Foreign Bedfellows
Tony Garza, the U.S. ambassador to Mexico, recently married Maria Asuncion Aramburuzabala, a Mexican national and one of her country's wealthiest businesswomen. She is vice chairwoman of Grupo Modelo, maker of Corona and Negro Modelo beers. At Middle American News, we believe Mr. Garza is free to marry whomever he pleases, and we wish him and his bride a long and happy life together. But is it really too much to ask that America's ambassadors, whose job it is to represent exclusively American interests, refrain from commitments that entangle them emotionally, financially, and politically with the foreign countries where they are sent? We know he won't, but Mr. Garza should have the decency to step down as ambassador forthwith

    Scandalous Thought
Ruling that the words "white pride" are "offensive" and "scandalous," the U.S. Department of Commerce reportedly turned down an application to trademark them, according to Lou Calabro of the European-American Issues Forum. Calabro said that an attorney in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) based her ruling on a computer database search of the Internet which revealed that "white pride" was regarded as offensive. Calabro said USPTO's own website indicates that "they have approved many other racially identified trademarks" such as Asian Pride, Black Pride, Kwanzaa Pride, Mexican Pride, and others. "It is certainly shocking to be told ... that almost 70 percent of U.S. citizens should be ashamed of having pride for being members of the white race," said Calabro. He said his group is seeking an apology and reversal of the decision.

Let's get real:the US is no longer 70% White! When my wife worked for the census she said that most Latino households she visited only reported about 25% of who was actually in the house. All stats we have on illegals is purely conjecture.

Illegal aliens and others on the public welfare roles will migrate to where the payment is highest. I recall many years ago when some states lowered their welfare payments, resulting in a massive move to higher welfare states. The system is broken.

Nice Guys was my personal favorite.

"All are under deportation orders because they committed crimes in the U.S., but their home countries won't take them back because they are considered "undesirables." So U.S. elites will give them tax money to start new lives here. "

Can't we put them in a plane and drop them over their country of origin? (Of course we will give them parachutes).
