AZ: Thousands attend funeral for fallen agents
Thousands attend funeral for fallen agents
May 20, 2011

In a day of remembrance, the U.S. Border Patrol laid to rest two of its own Friday afternoon in a joint funeral service for agents Hector Clark and Eduardo Rojas Jr., who were both killed in the line of duty last week.
Thousands of people, including members of law enforcement from all around the region, turned out to pay their final respects and say goodbye to the fallen agents. The Yuma Civic Center, where the memorial was being held, was nearly filled to capacity.
Bagpipes played as two white hearses pulled up in front of the building, followed by a trail of cars carrying family members. Border Patrol agents wearing full dress uniforms, with black mourning bands on their badges and solemn faces, stood at attention along the sidewalk and entrance into the building. An honor guard carried each of the agent’s flag-draped caskets into the civic center.
