Thread: Ben Carson Won't Comment on Senate Amnesty Bill, Will Make '16 Decision by May

Dr. Ben Carson, the retired neurosurgeon and potential 2016 presidential candidate, said he would decide on a run by May and refused to say whether he would reject the Senate's "Gang of Eight" amnesty bill.

On ABC's This Week, Carson was asked if he could support the comprehensive amnesty bill that the Senate passed last year. He said he "would have to read it thoroughly before I can answer the question."

Carson spoke about the need for more pro-American policies that helps "millions of people in our inner cities, rural areas, Appalachia who are suffering." The Senate's amnesty bill, which the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of American workers, would hurt poor blacks and poor whites in the regions Carson discussed by massively increasing legal -- and most likely illegal immigrants -- over the next 10-30 years.

Carson criticized Obama's executive overreach and said if he were to run, he would fight for those who want "United States to be a country where the government conforms to the will of the people" and not those "who want people to conform to the will of the government."

Forget Ben Carson. Forget anyone who works in the medical field and would have to read an amnesty bill to answer a question about whether or not they support it. They are so tied to government spending to support their medical enterprises that they will not be the solution to our problems at the end of the day when it counts.

Ben Carson is for amnesty for illegal aliens! I saw Bill Oreilly build him up the other night and do a teaser on him. To be a headliner guest on Fox News you have to support Amnesty just like Oreilly and Hannity and Newscorp owner Rupert Murdoch.

Then Ben Carson gets on there talking about all the large crowds he is encountering everywhere and how so many people want him to run for President blah blah blah. Then he roles out the guest worker program amnesty idea just like the Bush era.

Just another day on Fox news and just another illegal immigrant amnesty supporter! Shame on Ben Carson.

Yes, but that was 4 years ago, and it's not happened yet. Mitt Romney lost a Presidential race over it in 2012. Republicans have not and we will not tolerate this, which is the only reason Congress has yet to pass this insanity, and it won't ever as long as Republicans are in control of at least 1 chamber. Sure, some idle heads sucking the sponge of illegal immigration and massive excess legal immigration will try their wiles to get it through, but the majority of Republicans will not allow it.
