WESLACO - New numbers from the U.S. Border Patrol show 60,000 undocumented immigrants crossed into the country illegally in the last six months. That's about the population of Pharr.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS learned thousands of these illegal immigrants were classified as OTM, or other than Mexican. The top five countries they came from are Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, India and China.

Border Patrol agents said Mexicans still make up for the majority of the undocumented people agents detain and deport.

this is total BS; the Border Patrol never has known how many illegals have attempted to cross into our United States. the current apprehension rate is approximately 1 out of 4. at least the article somewhat explains why DHS/CBP is dancing around my request for the apprehension numbers for the last five months. Up until January, I had been requesting, and receiving, the monthly Sector apprehension numbers. Had too many balls in the air so I decided to take a break. On June 12th I sent my request to Kerry Rogers, the Washington DC DHS/CBP agent, currently assigned to maintain the Excel Sector Apprehension spreadsheet ...no response, sent again on the 15th, received a response from

I have the DHS/CBP Excel spreadsheet for the December apprehensions .. the problem is, every time I need to open it, I have to download Open Office... haven't yet figured out how to have my MAC permanently install Open Office, if there are any MAC experts out there.

these are the apprehension numbers for December, San Diego through Rio Grande Valley

4285 total roughly 19,000 and that is only 1 out of 4

so the 60,000 in 6 months is total bullsh*t, plus December numbers are usually the lowest of the year

well My wife said was very good why don't all of the USA move to Mexico & all the company that are closing go
to Mexico & gov stop all welfare & stamp & every thing that free & they will go back home .
No amnesty or Dream act

If they don't know how many are attempting to cross how can anyone possibly know what the apprehention rate is?
