Border Patrol Agents Arrest Previously Deported Guatemalan With Prior Homicide Conviction in Texas County, Oklahoma

DEL RIO -– U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Carrizo Springs Station, Wednesday, apprehended an individual who had been previously previously deported following a homicide conviction.

Agents patrolling near Carrizo Springs apprehended Fidelino Castro-Castro, 30, of Guatemala, among a group of 45 other undocumented immigrants.

During processing agents discovered that Castro had been previously deported from the United States after he was convicted of negligent homicide involving a motor vehicle in Texas County, Oklahoma. He was sentenced to five years of incarceration.

Castro-Castro will be charged with re-entry after deportation and his prior order of removal will be reinstated. He will be removed to his native country upon completion of all criminal proceedings.
