SANTA TERESA, N.M. - El Paso Sector U.S Border Patrol agents arrested a man Wednesday entering the U.S. illegally that was previously convicted of various sex offenses with a child.

At 10:40 p.m., March 20, U.S. Border Patrol Agents from the Santa Teresa Border Patrol Station were conducting patrol duties when they encountered evidence of an illegal entry.

Using their tracking skills, agents located three subjects whose foot prints matched those encountered at the border. One of the individuals arrested was later identified as 38-year-old Isaac Mata Vizcarra, a Mexican citizen.

During processing, Vizcarra's finger prints and biographical information were submitted into the E-3 and the Integrated Automated Identification System. Records revealed a criminal history consisting of criminal sexual contact with a child, burglary and resisting and obstructing justice.

Vizcarra had also been previously removed from the U.S.

Vizcarra was booked into the Otero County Prison facility for his illegal re-entry into the U.S. and is awaiting prosecution and subsequent removal to his country of origin.

This latest arrest is a prime example of the impact being made on a regular basis, by the rapid response of the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol. These enforcement efforts help to keep law violators and predators out of our neighborhoods and increase the quality of life in our communities while continuing to secure our nation's borders.
