Border Patrol Prez Threatens to Ditch Trump over Wall: “Why Vote for People If They Don’t Keep Promises?”

National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd went on Varney and Co. before his appearance before Congress on Thursday.

Judd told Stuart Varney the border patrol will withdrawal support from Trump if the border wall is not built.

Stuart Varney: I take it if the wall is not built you’ll walk away from the Republican Party?

Brandon Judd: We’ll be very upset. You gotta remember that when I gave the endorsement to President Trump that endorsement was mentioned in every single campaign speech that he gave. And his meteoric rise was based on his immigration stances and we want to see promises kept. Why continue to vote for people if they don’t keep the promises that they made on the campaign trail?

Yep, President Trump needs to keep his promises.

It's really great to hear this because there's been quite a bit of confusion as to whether or not our Border Patrol agents wanted a wall. We've had posters here post and Democratic Congresscritters and even some Republican C-Critters claim the agents didn't want the wall, they want a fence instead of a wall so they can supposedly see through it.

Thrilled to get this cleared up because I think those fences are just hideous. For that ugly useless crap a kid can scale in 5 seconds to be result of the tens of billions of dollars spent on that 2006 Fence Act was truly very disappointing.

A big beautiful wall with pretty landscaping, something Americans can be proud of.

Trump wants a wall. Border experts want a fence


. . . One senior U.S. Border Patrol official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told CNN that it's crucial to be able to see through a border barrier. "I'm not calling it a wall because we are talking about a fence that we can look through. That's what we need."

Another senior U.S. Border Patrol official told CNN, "I think fencing has worked for us in the past, but you never want to have a barrier in place that will obstruct your vision, that prevents you from seeing the other side of the border." . . .

I'm not buying that. I think they want a fence because they know the illegals hauling the drugs can scale the fence. My opinion.

There's a fence and then there is a FENCE. A barrier with a couple strands of barbwire is technically a fence. Yes, and we do have some of those on our border along with vehicle barriers that do nothing to stop foot traffic. However, IMO, nothing less than the double-layered fencing in San Diego or the fencing model Israel uses should be considered a fence for border protection purposes. The San Diego fence has two layers of fencing with a high a speed vehicle road between layers. From what I understand portions of it also have stadium lighting, surveillance cameras, and sensors or at least that is what the former Rep. Duncan Hunter's model called for. I guess the idea is to catch the illegals before they get through the second fence. From what I understand this fence seem to be working very well for San Diego and has reduced illegal apprehensions 95% and of course we've all heard how successful Israel's fence is.

I'm all for a huge intimidating wall that a gnat couldn't squeeze his butt through during a rainstorm. However, there is probably a huge gap between my desires and the actual reality of such a wall being built. If it must be a fence, it must be a FENCE like the one in San Diego or Israel.
