Border Patrol vehicle strikes 2 illegal immigrants, killing one


DATELAND, Ariz. Authorities are investigating the death of an illegal immigrant who the Border Patrol says was accidentally run over by one of its vehicles in a desert area in Yuma County.

Another illegal immigrant was injured.

The Border Patrol says the incident occurred Sunday night about ten miles southeast of Dateline, where agents had responded to apprehend a group of illegal immigrants.

The agency says the two victims apparently were hiding behind low-lying brush and the driver of the Border Patrol vehicle didn't see them.

The Border Patrol is conducting an internal investigation. The F-B-I and Yuma County Sheriff's Department also are investigating.

You mean there are so many now you cant drive in the desert without hitting them? Any Republicans for Bush left out there?
