Boyden man arrested on identity theft and forgery charges
    9:00 AM

A Boyden, Iowa, man was arrested Wednesday on felony charges of identity theft and forgery, the Sioux County Sheriff's Office said.

According to the sheriff's office, the investigation was initiated when Aurelio Cardona-Reyes, 18, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated in 2007. The sheriff's office said evidence was obtained that revealed Cardona-Reyes used a counterfeit social security card with a number belonging to another person and a counterfeit identification card to gain employment at SIG International in Boyden.

Identity theft and forgery are class D felonies.

Wouldn't it be great if we had some media network that would have these stories on night after night. While I am discouraged that it seems to be we are 'one-at-a-timing' here, it would serve us well if other illegals knew this was happening. Then if they saw some kind of punishment meted out - and quickly - maybe they would get the idea.

SIOUX CITY -- Three teenagers were arrested Wednesday after gang-related graffiti was spray-painted on the retaining wall of a Sioux City residence.

Officers were dispatched about two minutes after midnight on Wednesday after a complainant in the 2500 block of West Highland reported seeing two young Hispanic males spray-painting his retaining wall, said Sgt. Rex Mueller. The complainant provided a description of the vehicle the suspects drove off in as well as a license plate number. Police officers checking area located the vehicle a short time later with the juveniles and spray-paint cans in the vehicle.

Arrested for fifth degree criminal mischief -- tagging property with graffiti -- in addition to curfew violation, were Jessica Ortega, 14, of South Sioux City and Yovana Meza, 14, and Luis Giron, 14, both of Sioux City. A citation was also issued for failure to have a valid driver's license.

Great idea. Wonder if we could collect such 'news articles' and display them on a website.
