Prosecutors: Woman Had Kicked Man Out Of Home
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Prosecutors have filed murder charges against the live-in boyfriend of a Mishawaka woman whose body was found in across the state line in Cass County, Mich.

St. Joseph County Prosecutor Michael Dvorak said Thursday that Jorge "Chico" Huerta Cardenas, a 30-year-old undocumented immigrant, was arrested shortly after the discovery of Kim White-Stout's body Monday and held on other charges.

Cardenas is being held without bond in the St. Joseph County Jail in South Bend.

Dvorak said during a news conference with Cass County Prosecutor Victor Fitz that evidence showed the victim was strangled in St. Joseph County before her body was left along a rural Michigan road.

Dvorak said she had argued with Cardenas and ordered Cardenas to move out of her home shortly before she disappeared March 23.

A road commission worker found Stout's body in a field on Monday.
