    BS-Arpaio's popularity is slipping

    Arpaio's popularity is slipping

A new Rocky Mountain Poll shows Sheriff Joe Arpaio's popularity is shrinking.

The poll puts the sheriff's popularity at 54 percent in Maricopa County. That's down 5 points from November, according to a Rocky Mountain poll.

Pollsters say the decline is driven by negative view of his job performance by 43 percent of Phoenix residents polled. And that he has alienated Phoenix voters and Democrats. Among registered Democrats, 53 percent rate his job performance as "poor or very poor."

Arpaio still holds a commanding lead over his Democratic challenger Dan Saban 52 to 38 percent.

Pollsters also found the sheriff's ongoing feud with Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon has had little impact on Gordon.

Fifty-three percent rate his performance as favorable and 14 percent have a negative view. The remainder with no opinion or calling Gordon's performance fair.
Must have polled the illegals ....

    Sheriff Joe and American Hero!

I support Sheriff Joe 100% he is a stand up guy surrounded by liberal idiots... he continues to enforce the law for his community and honors his pledge of office...unlike the other pro-amnesty morons.

I wonder what segment of the population voted on this poll….possibly the illegals?
