Thread: CA - Border Patrol Stops Motor Home Smuggling 4 Aliens on I-8

Border Patrol agents on Interstate 8 arrested a couple Tuesday who had four Mexican immigrants locked in a hidden compartment inside their motor home.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., agents stopped a 1990 Cruiser Master motor home heading west on I-8, near Crestwood Road. A Border Patrol dog alerted agents, who then searched the vehicle and found four men locked inside a compartment beneath the frame of a bed.

The men admitted they were illegally present in the United States. Agents helped them leave the compartment as they were trapped inside.

The 43-year-old male driver and his 51-year-old female companion were arrested on human smuggling charges. The four men were transported to a nearby station for processing.

It was the second time in a week that agents in the San Diego sector discovered immigrants locked inside a vehicle compartment. A man and woman were arrested on Saturday after agents found two men in their car trunk.

In the past year, agents in the San Diego Sector have intercepted 29,911 people illegally entering the United States.

In the millions that have entered in such a manner, one has to query, what level of personhood do they carry? What decent human being would want to enter and stay in a county in such a manner?
