CO - Immigration Enforcement Steps in After Sexual Assault Arrest

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo.- A man has been arrested in Eagle County after a woman reported to authorities that she was sexually assaulted.

Bertin Rivera Castanon, 34, was arrested for sexual assault, a Class 3 felony, and also for possession of cocaine, a Class 6 felony.

He had been living in Edwards, Colo.

Detectives also discovered Rivera is in the United States illegally from Mexico.

Rivera is currently being held without bond, but Immigration Customs Enforcement has placed a detainer on him.
