Coast Guard interdicts, repatriates 5 Cuban migrants
MIAMI -- The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Knight Island repatriated five Cuban migrants to Bahia de Cabañas, Cuba, Sunday.
Good Samaritans notified watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Key West, Fla., Wednesday that they were on scene with a rustic vessel with six Cuban migrants aboard approximately nine miles west of Marathon, Fla.
The Coast Guard Cutter Chandeleur crew was diverted and safely embarked the six Cuban migrants from the rustic vessel. One of the migrants will be transferred to Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, for further processing.

Thank goodness. Many people in Miami feel that the wetfoot dryfoot policy needs to go. Those coming now are the ones who live off the government. Many have committed murder or murder suicide when their girlfriends or wives leave them. They are also the ones who are most often involved on the medicare and medicaid fraud you read about in South Florida. Cubans who came pre Mariel Boatlift will tell you those that came after the 80's are not the same people.
