Congressman Lee Zeldin: Amnesty Discharge Petition ‘Vehicle’ for ‘Whatever Nancy Pelosi’ Wants

Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) says the Republican establishment’s discharge petition — which would force a vote on an expansive amnesty for illegal aliens — would be a “vehicle” for “whatever” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) wants on immigration.

In an interview with SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Sunday, Zeldin told Breitbart News Deputy Political Editor Amanda House that Republicans in Congress should be opposing the discharge petition, which a group of “Never Trump” GOP lawmakers are pushing.

Zeldin told Breitbart News Sunday:

"I didn’t sign the discharge petition, I actually oppose the discharge petition. It’s a vehicle in my opinion that basically creates a process to pass whatever Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are going to pass. That’s the version that would get the votes.

"I think it’s really important for us to understand that this is a difficult issue, yes, but just because we have such a strong desire to pass an immigration bill doesn’t mean that we should be in a rush to pass any immigration bill. And we can’t repeat the mistakes of the past where if you pass the wrong bill, you end up incentivizing illegal immigration where the numbers start to even multiply."

The group of Republicans have signed onto what is known as a “discharge petition” to force a vote to bring an expansive amnesty plan for illegal aliens enrolled and eligible on the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program to the House floor.

The discharge petition could lead to the massive DREAM Act amnesty — which would give amnesty to the majority 12 to 30 million illegal aliens in the U.S. — being passed out of the House and Senate with a veto-proof majority.

Months of polling has revealed that a no-strings amnesty for illegal aliens is unpopular with GOP voters. GOP voters and swing voters have consistently told pollsters by huge majorities that they want to see legal immigration levels decreased to raise wages for America’s working and middle class.

That's how I understand it too!

The discharge petition could lead to the massive DREAM Act amnesty — which would give amnesty to the majority 12 to 30 million illegal aliens in the U.S. — being passed out of the House and Senate with a veto-proof majority.

That is the worst case scenario, but it could happen with help from some traitorous Republicans. If this should happen, we will lose the House and maybe even the Senate which will leave Trump virtually castrated for the remainder of his time in office. Furthermore, should such a scenario play out, the Democrats will control our country for many years to come. This my friends would be a disaster of epic proportion.

We dodged the bullet on Hillary and SHE would have opened the floodgates and destroyed our country for decades to come. This country would never be the same or recover unless war broke out. That is inevitable if WE do not stop this invasion of our country by people who are hell bent on doing it.

It will happen in Europe...they are well on their way to civil unrest and massive destruction. Don't call us to bail you out. No US troops blood or our treasure to pay for it. They had better start massive deportation and regain control of their country, their culture and peace in their communities. This will not fare well if they do not begin this process.

We would have had 100,000 illegal aliens a day pouring across our border and Mexico, Central America, Africa would have opened their jails and bused them up here. This is why we need that WALL built as soon as possible to ward them off! This is NO joke.

They are already lining up at our Ports of Entry and CONGRESS must give our military the authority to get down there and stop this in it's tracks and turn them ALL away. No asylum for anybody!

Democrats must never be elected to take over again.

We would have never recovered from Hillary's destruction of continuing Obama's invasion and bankrupting this country. Not too mention their lousy deals they made with the devil abroad and the cause of this massive illegal migration.
