Conservative Group Blasts Eric Cantor for Amnesty Deception

by Tony Lee 4 Jun 2014, 2:25 PM PDT
    breitbart

A conservative political action committee is calling out House Majority Eric Cantor (R-VA) for falsely claiming that he has been an anti-amnesty warrior trying to stop President Barack Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-NV) amnesty agenda.

Cantor has been sending many deceptive anti-amnesty mailers ahead of his June 10 primary against Dave Brat to cloud his position on amnesty for illegal immigrants, and the We Deserve Better PAC is trying to set the record straight with a 30-second spot that highlights Cantor's desire to pass amnesty legislation.

Those associated with the online spot have claimed it has been effective in dropping Cantor's poll numbers, and the We Deserve Better PAC is asking for donations to give the ad more widespread play on the airwaves before Tuesday's primary.

The ad accuses Cantor of supporting "more debt and government spending" and warns voters that "his next deal with Obama is worse -- amnesty and citizenship for illegal immigrants."

A narrator urges voters to "stop Eric Cantor's liberal deal-making" and to "term-limit Eric Cantor and save the country from reckless spending and amnesty for illegals by voting for Dave Brat."

As Breitbart News has reported, Cantor has not taken his primary for granted since his one of his top allies was ousted from a key GOP chairmanship in his district. His campaign website makes no mention of his past support for amnesty on his website, even though Cantor was one of the leaders behind the House GOP's immigration principles in which they declared that one of the "founding principles of our country was that children would not be punished for the mistakes of their parents." If that is indeed one of the "founding principles," then Congress would essentially have to award perpetual amnesty to the children of illegal immigrants.

Brat has tried to gain traction against Cantor on amnesty, and some of the staunchest anti-amnesty Republicans like Laura Ingraham, who has ceaselessly used her national radio platform to fight for American workers, have campaigned for Brat. Other anti-amnesty Republicans like Ann Coulter have also endorsed Brat.

If Cantor, with that much organized opposition, wins that primary it would dramatically display that we, the American people, have lost the nation. We can blame the politicians entering the blame game, but it is we, the American people who allowed politicians to lose the nation.

It may seem cold, it may seem harsh, it is truth!

No, kevinssdad, it is not cold, the truth is often harsh but it is always correct. More than the activities of our fanatic enemies I fear the apathy of supposed patriots. There are tens of millions of self identified conservatives. More than enough to flip over this government literally in a few days. But for years we go on suffering under the Obama junta and its abuse of power. Silence is consent, and apathy is passive assistance. The RINOs are more passionate in fighting to keep patriots out of the GOP than they are in stopping Obama's abuse of power. And the great majority of supposed patriots talk and do nothing else.

You are right. If America dies, it will be mostly because those who saw the growing tyranny of Obama were too selfish to make the sacrifices they knew were necessary to stop him.

Each of us must live with our own conscience. I have done my best as I think you have. There is a moral requirement that when something is wrong, win or loose it must be fought with all of our might.

The problem in that race is that Eric Cantor has 1.9 million dollars to spend and has proven he is willing to lie his ass off to GOP voters, while Brat has about 1/10th of that budget to work with.

We have found that candidates that oppose immigration reform amnesty can win with less money which breaks the well known political science rule that the candidate that spends the most wins 96% of the time.

But, what we have found (and the Globalists appear to have learned) is that candidates on the side of the American public cannot usually prevail when they are outspent by lying globalists by factors greater than 4-6 to 1.

So far in the Cantor vs. Brat race... Cantor is at about 10 to 1 advantage on spending.
