The melting pot ended in 1965 when the Kennedy supported Immigration and Nationality Act was passed. Gone were the immigrants from Europe who shared similar values and culture, replaced with third-worlders from Asia and Latin America who had different values, culture, and less of a desire to assimilate. By "equalizing" immigration policies, the act resulted in new immigration from non-European nations which changed the ethnic make-up of the United States. Immigration doubled between 1965 and 1970, and doubled again between 1970 and 1990. The most dramatic effect was to shift immigration from Europe to Asia, Central, and South America.

Combine this official policy shift with out of control illegal immigration (largely Latin America) and you have a recipe for disaster.

Born was the phrase "multiculturism and diversity."

Exactly and so well put, oldguy.

Absolutely. Disaster is what we have and there's only one way to fix it and that is vote these pro-illegal alien nuts out of office. And woe be to the states that don't, because Americans will not continue to fund 1 dime of illegal immigration.
