Aug. 16, 2013 – 361 arrested during nationwide gang operation

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested 361 individuals in July and August during a nationwide gang operation targeting members of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) transnational street gang. Full Story

Aug. 15, 2013 – Feds charge 57 people linked to organizations that smuggled narcotics from Mexico inside PVC pipe

Members of a federal drug task force, including HSI special agents, arrested 18 people Aug. 15 linked to three drug trafficking organizations that smuggled narcotics from Mexico inside PVC pipe typically hidden in the axles of commercial trucks that ended up at truck yards in South Los Angeles and southern Los Angeles County.
