LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Norcross man charged Monday after a months-long tryst with a 14-year-old south Georgia girl is now also facing deportation.

Raymundo Aranda-Parra, 24, was arrested Monday by Norcross police and charged with interference with custody and statutory rape, the result of 14-year-old Griselda Cibrian's disappearance from her family's home about an hour west of Savannah.

Norcross police Sgt. Bill Grogan said Monday that Aranda-Parra and Cibrian -- for whom an Amber alert was issued Sunday -- had met online and had a relationship for about seven months. Cibrian had reportedly held herself to be 19 years old.

Aranda-Parra allegedly borrowed his employer's pickup truck and picked the girl up Saturday afternoon in Glennville and drove her back to Norcross, where he lived on Marshes Glenn Drive. Grogan said officials believe the duo knew Cibrian had been reported missing and subsequently moved to the Knights Inn motel on Brook Hollow Parkway.

The girl was found there Monday morning. Aranda-Parra was not at the motel but located elsewhere later that day.

Aranda-Parra was in custody at the Norcross Police Department before being officially booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center at 2:40 p.m. Monday. Online jail records indicate a hold for immigration, meaning the native Mexican will face deportation once his case is adjudicated.

In Georgia, statutory rape perpetrated by those over 21 years old carries a 10- to 20-year prison term. Sentences for interference with custody convictions vary.
