DREAM Act no dream...could be reality

DREAM Act no dream...could be reality

Chad Groening - OneNewsNow - 12/2/2010 8:40:00 AMBookmark and Share

An immigration reform pundit says Democratic members of the lame-duck Congress are prepared to approve a bill that would give amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants who will likely become dependable Democratic voters.

William Gheen (ALIPAC)In a hastily prepared news release, William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, said he learned Wednesday afternoon that outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) has scheduled a vote on the DREAM Act ("The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act") which would provide a fast-track to U.S. citizenship to selected illegal aliens.

According to Gheen, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) is also getting in on the act, preparing to move on a cloture vote and paving the way for approval of the Defense Authorization Bill, which also includes DREAM Act legislation.

"We believe that they have the votes in the House -- and they're very close to having the votes in the Senate," he laments. "And at this point, the only thing that can stop 3 to 20 million illegal immigrants becoming a new voting bloc that will displace millions of American students, workers, and voters, is a historic and unprecedented backlash from the public."

The immigration reformer encourages people to "get on the phones...call all congressional offices, and fill the voicemails."

Gheen says if people load the Capitol switchboard with calls, there is a chance that the DREAM Act can be stopped. Otherwise, he predicts the lame-duck Democrats will have their victory.

Passage of Dream Amnesty Likely! Take Action To Turn Things Around!

    Friends of ALIPAC,

The US House currently plans to vote on Dream Act Amnesty today, or possibly tomorrow if pushed back.

Please be aware that messages are being broadcasted to conservative audiences in America telling you that Amnesty is unlikely to pass. This is FALSE and it is PROPAGANDA designed to keep you docile, while the deed is done.

THE CHANCES DREAM ACT AMNESTY WILL PASS THE HOUSE AND SENATE is VERY HIGH!

The only thing likely to stop it is a historic and unprecedented outcry from the American public and you must lead the charge!

ALIPAC has worked with NumbersUSA to identify 83 Democrats who might come over to the opposition side to stop Amnesty. Almost all Republicans in the House are expected to vote NO.

Please use our new House targeting list and contact information to call all 83 offices listed!

This will allow you to CONCENTRATE your calls and e-mails in the House, where your efforts have the greatest chance of leading to victory.

YES, I AM READY TO CALL AND WRITE 83 DEMOCRATS IN THE US HOUSE. WE NEED TO VOTE NO ON DREAM AMNESTY TO WIN! (click here)
