TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A Tucson woman was arrested last week and accused of human smuggling, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office said.

According to a news release from the Sheriff's office, a deputy stopped Maria Bustamante, 33, Friday night as she drove on Interstate 10 near Picacho with six male passengers.

The men, all from Mexico, were turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.

Bustamante, who told deputies she is an exotic dancer in Tucson, was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center for six felony counts of human smuggling.
