FARGO – A federal judge here sentenced a Fargo man to jail for employing six workers who were in the country illegally.

Glenn Setterholm of Fargo was sentenced Monday by U.S District Judge Ralph R. Erickson to three months of jail time followed by six months of home confinement. Setterholm was also ordered to pay an $80,000 forfeiture.

Setterholm, 29, pleaded guilty on Jan. 25 to a charge of harboring six people living in the country illegally.

Setterholm, who operated Setty Construction, a roofing company out of Fargo, located and hired the workers online through the online classified ad site Craigslist.com.

As part of their employment, Setterholm provided the illegally employed workers with apartments and transportation to and from the work sites. The incidents occurred between June and September 2011 in North Dakota and Minnesota.
