Fraudulent Immigraton Document Producer Pleads Guilty, Will be Deported

Fraudulent immigration document producer pleads guilty, will be deportedFraudulent immigration document producer pleads guilty, will be deportedA Guatemalan 26-year-old pleaded guilty in Loudoun County Circuit Court on Jan. 20 to two counts of forging public documents. Now, he’s on his way out of the country.

Undercover officers posed as potential clients of Alvaro Delgado-Carreto and set up a transaction for fraudulent Social Security and resident alien cards.

According to court records, Delgado-Carreto produced the documents and was taken into custody shortly thereafter. He’s remained in the Loudoun Adult Detention Center for the last four months.

Delgado-Carreto, an illegal alien himself, is also being held on a federal immigration detainer. Once released from county authorities, he will face deportation. He had previously been arrested in Fairfax County in 2006 on multiple charges of misdemeanor identity theft, but was convicted of disorderly conduct.

Forging public documents is a felony offense. Delgado-Carreto was sentenced to four years suspended.

According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Jim Plowman, the sentencing guidelines for the forgeries recommended probation since it is a nonviolent crime.

“In a case like this, he had already served more than the recommended sentencing, and he is now being deported anyway,” Plowman said.

The fake document business has to be HUGE in this country. Just in L.A. I'd bet there are plenty of them operating right now.
