Chief Garry Moss states, On Tuesday Sept. 10 Calhoun Police along with agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested five individuals suspected of entering the United States illegally.

The suspects were found to be working at local businesses within the City of Calhoun and using false documents to gain employment.

A total of 12 officers and support personnel carried out this detail and plan to continue these type operations in the future.

This is a joint effort to control the number of illegally aliens fraudulently obtaining employment within the City of Calhoun.

All suspects remain in the Gordon County Jail with bond proceedings pending.

The Calhoun Times is working to obtain names of the ones arrested. We will have more information as it is released.
