In Germany, Reutlingen, a (German) man killed a German woman with a machete today.

A woman was killed in the horrific attack, while two others were injured Photos of the arrest show the man lying on the ground, with a bloodied face. Armed cops can be seen standing above him, resting their boots on his body.

Reutlingen is situated in Baden-Württemberg, south of Stuttgart This evening, it emerged that the suspect is a Syrian asylum seeker - although further details, including his name, are not yet known.

The killing comes two days after a gunman killed nine people and injured over 30 in a shopping mall shooting spree in Munich.
