    GOP may use immigrant license plan in White House race

    GOP may use immigrant license plan in White House race

    Differences between Barack Obama and John McCain now command the spotlight, with standard party-line clashes expected on abortion, guns, taxes and Iraq. Expect sniping to intensify around race, class and terrorism.

    One Republican operative tells us to expect McCain to exhume Obama's support for ex-Gov. Eliot Spitzer's aborted license plan for illegals - perhaps eclipsing McCain's own past fight with his GOP rivals on immigration. Obama said in February: "We have to solve the overall [immigration] problem and this driver's license issue is a distraction."

    Obama's most hawkish critics are slamming the Democrat on the Mideast - while Obama will keep lashing McCain to George W. Bush on the grinding war and the sinking economy.

    Oh this is rich

    This is the pot calling the kettle black (no pun intended)! How could Mr. McAmnesty EVER be stupid enough to attack ANYONE on their pro-illegal driver's license stance...his legislation gives them the whole enchillada!

    After I read this, the famous Bette Davis quote came to mind;

    “Fasten your seat belts. It's going to be a bumpy night!â€

    McCain is almost the same as Obama on abortion, guns, and taxes. Also he is an old white guy with a mulitmillionaire wife. All I see are disadvantages for McCain

    I think because of the war and sinking economy Obama will win even though he will not do anything to improve it.

    He must think we have forgotten. You know the old belief that voters have short memories
    Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!
