Fox hires lobbyist for U.S.The Texan who advised President Vicente Fox's election campaign will now try to sweeten U.S. views on immigration.

MEXICO CITY -- President Vicente Fox has rehired the Texas public relations man and GOP political consultant who quietly helped engineer his election victory in 2000. This time, Fox wants Rob Allyn & Co. to put the brakes on growing anti-immigration, anti-Mexican sentiment in the United States.

Last week, the U.S. House approved a bill to add 700 miles of border fencing and make illegal immigration a felony. Fox denounced the measure as shameful. His foreign minister called it stupid and underhanded.

''The contributions of Mexicans in the United States, who are making their best effort, generating lots of wealth, are not known,'' said Rodrigo Iván Cortés Jiménez, an elected deputy in Mexico's lower house and a member of its commission on foreign affairs.

The immigration bill, expected to reach the Senate in February, has no provision for allowing temporary Mexican workers -- a further slap, in Fox's view. He and President Bush agree on the need for a ''guest worker'' program.

Fox cannot seek reelection next year, and his legacy may rest in part on his pledges to secure an agreement with the United States to grant legal status to the millions of Mexicans living and working illegally north of the border.

So the Mexican leader last week turned to the political operative who helped him topple Mexico's longtime ruling party to win the presidency.
Rob Allyn helped George W. Bush defeat Ann Richards for the governorship of Texas in 1994. Three years later, Allyn saw another potential winner in Fox, then governor of Guanajuato state. He agreed to join Fox's presidential campaign, but only in secret.

For three years, Allyn worked clandestinely, helping craft Fox's message of change, as well as his TV commercials, his polling and his wardrobe. Allyn made dozens of trips to Mexico, traveling under one of three pseudonyms.

Fox, of the National Action Party, came from behind to defeat Francisco Labastida of the Institutional Revolutionary Party, which had ruled Mexico for seven decades. During Mexico's official campaign season in the first six months of 2000, Allyn worked with Penn, Schoen & Berland, a polling and political consulting firm. They operated Democracy Watch, a nonpartisan group hired by Mexicans to conduct national exit polls as a hedge against election fraud.

After the July election, Allyn told the Dallas Morning News he hid his work for Fox because he didn't want to be a political liability. Mexicans are sensitive to foreign interference, especially involving the United States.
Allyn, who also worked on the Bush presidential campaigns, now faces a bigger challenge with the migration issue.

Demands to stem illegal immigration are growing louder in the United States as Mexican and Central American workers spread across the country.

''Our focus is on public opinion, which influences policy outcomes in Congress,'' said Allyn, 46, who grew up in Huntington Beach, Calif., and moved to Texas when he was in high school. ``There is a huge misperception among the U.S. public about Mexico.''

Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Ernesto Derbez said Allyn's message should be that Mexicans have sunk roots deep in their U.S. neighborhoods and that they contribute more through their work, taxes and families than they take away in public services.

What you don't understand is that a) we do know the contributions and b) we don't want them, k? Simply and politely, No Thank You.

No, there is no "misperception" among the US public about Mexico. Mexico is a beautiful country; with nice people; with oil and beaches and farming and all our industry. Most of US know more about Mexico that we care to know. In fact, we've been over-informed about Mexico. We're tired of Mexico; tired of hearing about it; tired of seeing Mexican Citizens in the US working on our construction sites with jobs Americans want; tired of seeng Mexican Citizens at the job an American had the day before; we're of listening to National Council of La Raza and Maldef and Mecha and Lulac and paying them to spew their spin with our money, our tax exempt contributed money; we're tired of lookin' at Foxey Flop; we're really tired of that "odd" look he has in his eyes; we're tired of the Pew Hispanic Center lyin' to US about "how many there are"; we're tired of pickin' up dirty diapers; we're tired of it all. We really are. We're EXHAUSTED with Mexico. They have worn out their welcome; they have disrespected US; they have robbed US; raped US; killed US; and have come close to ruining US economically, politically, and nationally.

The entire problem of immigration does not fall just on Mexico. Many other people from many other nations have contributed to the decline of America by entering our nation illegally. But Mexico draws the attention to Mexico; Mexico has violated our laws in recent years to a greater degree than any other nation; Mexico has invaded both with its citizens and with its politicians.

There is no turning it back. Americans are fed up with Mexico and will be for many decades as they pay the bills left behind by Mexican Nationals who came here unable to pay their way and who by their presence and the cost of that presence caused Americans to not be able to pay theirs.

This is not true, but even if it were, you have to factor in the job they took from an American; the house they took from an American; the pressure on prices from the added population; the medical costs; the educational costs; the subsistence costs; and the cost of public services to support millions of people that were neither planeed for; expected; or wanted here.

Americans have no respect for Mexican Nationals who whine to mooch. It doesn't take away the fact that most Mexicans like all people are nice, want to raise their families, have a good life. But you can't do it here. It's that simple.

Go home and build your nation. Build houses in Mexico, Lord knows you need housing. We see the shacks. Tear those down, and build some nice new ones.

You love to farm and know how to do it well. Kick American Agribusiness out of your country; take back your farms; and farm. We'll buy your products as we always have but we prefer to buy them from you, not from our companies down there pushing you into poverty and then up here.

Tell your labor force working in all our industries down there, to pay a wage high enough so that you can afford food and nice housing. You are entitled to that. Make our companies pay you enough to live properly.

Get birth control pills...and use them. For any poor family to have 10 kids they can not feed or find jobs for when they are grown is having more kids than your country can sustain. That is not our fault. That is your fault. Put in your pants and keep it there or get birth controls pills!! Don't come whinin' up here for a better life because you're having more children than you possibly support.

Tell your government, you want schools in every school district to educate your children for jobs in Mexico that they can do well and be successful in Mexico.

Tell your government, you want Casinos. Yeah....build Casinos for the rich and famous, not the poor...increase your tourism, the high dollar tourism.

Fix Your Water Supply. This is 2005. You are Mexico. There is no excuse for your country to have dirty water anywhere in Mexico.

Shut down the drugs. This is crazy. Shut them down. Whatever It Takes. These drug cartels hold your country back and your people down.

Build shopping centers; nice beautiful Mexican style shopping centers.

Build hospitals; beautiful modern hospitals; everywhere. They don't have to be big; they can be small but nice with trauma centers close to the people; so they walk there if they have to.

Stop looking North for solutions. Your solutions are there in Mexico. Within you, each of you, so find your solutions and make them happen in Mexico. Then, be part of your own commercial and economic revolution to build a nation that the world respects, admires and wants to visit and trade with.

Somehow or another, they AGREED on this "NEED" WITHOUT consulting the AMERICAN PEOPLE. BUSH SERVES AT OUR PLEASURE--NOT his own. He has taken up this BAD HABIT of making promises to his AMIGOS that he can't possibly keep because the AMERICAN PEOPLE won't STAND FOR IT. WE ARE FED UP with his empty promises. We are FED UP with his LIES and, on this issue, we are NOT going to take it LYING DOWN.

THIS is my FAVORITE RESPONSE, Judy!!! That would CERTAINLY be a very good place to start. And, don't forget--if you are gonna pop children out by the dozens, DO IT IN MEXICO. DON'T come to THE US TO POP THEM OUT. WE can't afford it. The thing is, WE have enough SENSE TO KNOW WHEN TO STOP.

And, you left out a couple more reasons why we are FED UP. We are FED UP that you come to our country and REFUSE to ASSIMILATE. You don't want to be a PART of AMERICA. You want to SUCK US DRY. We are FED UP that you REFUSE to speak our language and DEMAND that WE speak YOURS. We are fed up because YOUR CULTURE gets taught in OUR SCHOOLS while OUR CULTURE falls by the wayside. You don't WANT to be an AMERICAN. You want to CONVERT AMERICANS to MEXICANS.
