Governor Tom Wolf says Pennsylvania will accept Syrian refugees

Wolf says Pennsylvania will accept Syrian refugees

The Associated Press Published: November 16, 2015, 1:02 pm Updated: November 16, 2015, 1:09 pm

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – Gov. Tom Wolf says his administration will continue working with the federal government to resettle Syrian refugees in Pennsylvania following the Paris terrorist attacks.
Wolf, a Democrat, said Monday that the federal government believes it can handle an additional 10,000 refugees that the White House said in September that it would accept from Syria.
Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services says 14 Syrian refugees have arrived in the state since Oct. 1.
Eight governors, all Republicans, say they’re opposing efforts to relocate Syrian refugees in their states or they’re demanding to know more about the federal government’s security procedures to screen Syrian refugees.
Lavinia Limon of the U.S Committee for Refugees and Immigration says the Refugee Act of 1980 prevents governors from legally blocking refugees from settling in their communities.

I bet Governor Tom Wolf is getting a lot of push back from his constituents today over his radical stance in support of United Nations Syrian refugee programs.

Tom Wolf - Such a good little democrat following the demands of Obama as all the democratic mayors in Pa cities do.

Wolf is trying to raise all taxes on the populace - the fracking industry is ripping our forests apart and the lives of our farmers upstate, our creatures, as well as those downstream - toxic wastewater is going where? A million gallons of pristine stream water with 80,000 lbs of cancer causing chemicals PER WELL going where?

Also, no water treatment facilities are able to treat radio active materials which are plentiful in that water. Even before the fracking boom for corporations and investors, radon detectors were commonplace in Pa due to building houses atop of rock and residents dying of cancer - that is where this wastewater has been.

Methane escaping everyday, chemical plants liquefying on fire with toxic fumes, they want pipelines built to our waterways to export liquified gas that will cut thru our neighborhoods. Where are OUR profits? Fracking has not benefited Pa residents - on the contrary, has only brought extreme profits for the industry/stock holders and deaths, illnesses and God only knows what else in the future to those exposed.

The mayor of Pittsburgh stating the Syrian refugees are vetted for 14 months is a blatant lie. Hold them somewhere else for the next 14months - sure, that is not happening. Are there any Christians being imported, doubt it!
