Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose revealed the band was detained at the Canadian border for having a gun on their tour bus.

"They were very nice," the singer said of border patrol to the 50,000-person crowd at Toronto's Rogers Centre Saturday night.

"They were very understanding. You know, it happens -- you can forget you had a f---ing gun" he said adding it was not his gun.

The band's rep confirmed the incident to Billboard.

“Yes, this indeed happened on Friday, July 15, as they were crossing the border coming from the Philadelphia tour stop on the 14th.”

This wasn't the first time the rock band had trouble crossing the border into Canada because of a gun.

Rose told Spin in 1988, according to Billboard, "This year, I was only arrested once at the Canadian border, for my stun gun. I didn’t know they’re illegal there."
