Thread: Hispanics Practicing Medicine Without a License

I was watching MSNBC last night and they had a show on people practicing medicine without a license. It started with those parties where women went for injections for their wrinkles. A news reporter in Miami can across it when she saw a woman in her doctor's office who was disfigured for life. She went on to learn more and found that it was a big problem. The women doing the injections were not doctors and caused many problems. She spoke to an investigator from the department of health and he had pictures of offices where some actual plastic surgery was preformed by poeple claiming they were doctors back home and one of them was Cuban. He had 2 clinics and they were shut down and he would just relocate as he had been caught doing surgery twice! The investigator said that the majority of those practicing medicine illegally are Hispanics and more than half are Cuban.
This has also happened with dentistry. These people just don't want to understand that their education back home is not the same as it is here and that they have no license to practice here. They obviously show no respect for the law or our country when they just do it anyways. Many get caught when they screw up and the patient goes elsewhere to get the damage undone. I have seen some of the damage they caused on the evening news.

Are there any other states who have the same problem?

Gets even better than that! How about guys playing OBGYN. Yep, I saw a report on that before.
